About me

Hi! I'm thrilled to have you here. Let me share a bit about myself and how my experiences have shaped my passion for helping others.

“My self-esteem and self-worth were profoundly affected by everything that came with undiagnosed ADHD.”

Education posed significant hurdles, with three attempts at university resulting in two dropouts due to overwhelming obstacles. Eventually, settling on studying psychology, I still struggled: concentration, organisation, and retention of information eluded me (as it had for my whole childhood). Later, working as a teacher, I realised how my 'bad' traits were exacerbated, coupled with the stress, anxiety and imposter syndrome teaching gave me, I ended up with me leaving teaching all together. From this my suspicions that something wasn’t right grew stronger. Finally, in 2023, I obtained a diagnosis of ADHD, lifting the weight I had carried for so long.

Why I became a therapist

The challenges I faced at university inspired me to seek support from a Hypnotherapist for exam stress, that’s when I discovered just how effective it could be. Now, my passion lies in supporting others who may be navigating a varied of struggles. Together, we'll embark on a therapeutic journey, drawing on holistic and evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs.

Working with children and teens is one of my specialties. I previously worked as a qualified primary school teacher, in mainstream and SEND settings. I am a passionate advocate for children’s mental well-being, and I’ve always aimed to provide genuine opportunities for every child to thrive.As a qualified Hypno4Children and Hypno4Teens practitioner, coupled with my background as a teacher, I've seamlessly merged my passion for working with children into the realm of hypnotherapy. Witnessing many young people transform into confident, happy, and awe-inspiring individuals fills me with immense pride.

 My approach is about creating a nurturing space where young minds can flourish and grow.

  • My prized possession is my rescue cat Mittsu, she only has three legs but that doesn’t seem to stop her! She often likes to sit on my desk and watch me work.

  • I have dyslexia and dyspraxia (don’t be surprised if you spot a spelling mistake!).

  • I make really good cakes and brownies.

  • I love the beach (even though I don’t live anywhere near it!).

  • I’m a big fan of going on holiday - you’ll find me where somewhere with good food and wine.

  • I thank my ADHD for making me spontaneous, empathetic and for giving me a sparkling personality.
